Children’s Ministry

Children hold a very special place in God’s kingdom. We believe the single most important aspect of a child’s life is a relationship with Jesus Christ. Parents, while we thank you for the privilege of sharing the love of Christ with your children, we recognize that most of a child’s spiritual development happens not at church, but at home. As a result, our desire is to partner with you in the important task of leading this generation of children into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. We encourage you to make weekly worship a family priority, modeling for your child the importance of putting God first in their lives. We believe that God has instructed parents to be the primary spiritual teacher and soul caregiver for their children.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9: “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.”

Our Sundays, our classes are led by our Life Ministry volunteers – men and women just like you. Each one faithfully gives his or her time and talent to make a difference in the lives of children on Sundays. We value the safety and security of our children and each volunteer has been carefully screened through our application process. Please take time to get to know your child’s teachers. Let them know how much you appreciate their faithful service and remember to include them in your family prayer time each week.

Good Health Guidelines

In order to prevent the spread of illness among our preschoolers, we ask that you not bring your child to class if he or she has exhibited any of the following symptoms within the previous 24 hours:

  • Fever or sore throat
  • Vomiting or diarrhea
  • Skin Infections (ringworm, impetigo, boils, etc.) or unexplained rash
  • Pink eye
  • Severe cold symptoms
  • Symptoms of childhood diseases such as measles, mumps, chicken pox, etc.

Security Information

Your child’s safety and security is of the utmost importance. For this reason,  we ask that the same parent drop off and pick up.   Should we need to reach you, one of the ministry worker will come up and contact you.
